A NOTE from CHRISTINE:
This Christmas will be the first without our much loved cat, Cricket (shown above).
Every year, Cricket would spend hours marveling at our gigantic sparkling Christmas tree, curled up on the velvet skirt amidst gifts specially labeled "From Santa, To Cricket". Though we are saddened by the loss of our little buddy, we feel comforted knowing we made the right decision at the right time.  Closure is much more difficult for those with missing pets.  I understand the loss in both ways with Lucky's disappearance five years ago and Cricket's illness this past year.  Either way, that special unconditional bond you shared with your pet cannot be matched.  And though new pets may come into your life creating unique bonds just as strong, that one special pet with a personality all it's own will never leave your heart.
