1. How does this website work?
See about this site. The goal is to give County residents one "special place" to view updates on lost and found pets in El Dorado County and stay notified through Paw Alert. There's nothing to lose by advertising on this site, especially since the option of listing Pets Path Home as the contact is available (see item #4) and ads may remain posted indefinitely.

2. Why provide a local lost/found pet website when there are national websites out there?
The national websites are awesome and encouraged, but advertising on one can sometimes feel like a needle in a haystack. By keeping the website small, local, and free, there’s often a better chance of reuniting locally lost and found pets with their owners.
3. Why can’t I upload my information directly to the website?
Pets Path Home is a very small-scale operation without sponsors or employees. Protection of the website and controlling what is published is critical. New ways of posting an ad may develop in the future, but the methods currently provided are as easy as contacting your local newspaper.
4. If I don’t want my contact information listed, how can Pets Path Home help?
You can list Pets Path Home as the contact in your ad, then anyone responding to the ad must notify Pets Path Home with their contact information. You will then be notified by Pets Path Home with that person's contact information and it will be your responsibility to follow up. Your phone number(s) and email address will not be given to anyone.

5. If I don't receive a confirmation email after submitting an ad, what should I do?
Make sure email from Pets Path Home hasn't landed in your junk or spam email folder. Bbe sure to add the domain name @petspathhome.com to your contacts and/or safe senders list.
If you still haven't received a confirmation email within 24 hours of submitting your ad, please email or call Pets Path Home. Please note that inclimate weather may cause satellite disruption and delay a response as well.
6. Why is Paw Alert sent out before I have a chance to make changes to the ad?
It is very important to get the word out ASAP on your lost or found pet. Since Paw Alert is sent out at the same time your ad is posted, accurate information in your initial ad submittal is strongly advised. Changes to an ad can be made at any time via phone, email or online form, and significant changes will be indicated by the word "UPDATED" in red letters underneath the ad if listed on the homepage. At the bottom of every Paw Alert it states "This information is subject to change - please check the website for updates."
7. Why is sorting used rather than filter options?
Neutered male cats can be mistaken for female cats. And what may be tan to you, may be brown to another. These discrepancies often filter OUT many pets. It’s better to sort and still have the rest listed underneath than to miss a potential match altogether.

8. Why does this website look bad or "off" on my computer?
If you are using an older computer and most sites look poor, it could be your graphics card and/or monitor; try adjusting your settings. If you are using an older browser such as Internet Explorer 6, it is strongly recommended that you upgrade for the latest technology and support. The same may apply to other older browsers such as Firefox, Opera, Safari, etc.
9. Why do I get an answering machine when I call?
Pets Path Home fully understands the importance and urgency of your call. The phone number (530) 622-2525 is used for both messages and faxes. Please leave a brief message and your call will be returned VERY soon after.
10. Why isn't there an apostrophe in 'Pets Path Home'?
It meant more to leave it out since it could go either way - Pet's Path Home or Pets' Path Home. It covers all!
11. Why was my ad removed without my request?
Your ad remains posted indefinitely or until you request removal. Your ad is subject to removal without your request only if attempts to reach you are unsuccessful due to outdated or invalid contact information (see terms). If you feel an error has been made in the removal of your ad, please contact Pets Path Home immediately.
